Now what?
Should you stay or explore something else?
Before you give up on your current role or jump into another exhausting job search, pause.
Together, we’ll take a grounded look at what is really driving your frustration and determine what this moment may be asking of you: realigning or redesigning your current role, or preparing a strategic, paced exit.
You still care about the work, but carrying it has become heavy.
Between sector restructuring, shifting organizational priorities, and constant resource constraints, staying in a mission-driven role right now can feel like running on a treadmill that keeps speeding up.
Maybe you are lying awake at night trying to figure out your next step and asking yourself:
✦ "Is it me, or is it this job?" You can't tell if you're experiencing sector fatigue, organizational friction, or a genuine shift in your personal values.
✦ "Can this role be saved?" Part of you wants to stay and establish better boundaries, but you don't know if the system around you will allow it.
✦ "Is leaving even realistic right now?" The thought of polishing a resume and entering a volatile job market feels completely overwhelming when you're already running on empty.
You keep thinking about it… But the more you think, the less clear everything seems. You’re still here with the same questions, doubts, and frustrations.
That's not a failure of intelligence, courage or commitment. It's what happens when you try to read the label from inside the jar.
And remaining in uncertainty has a cost. It drains your energy, affects your wellbeing, and leaves you with less capacity to make the thoughtful decisions your career deserves.
You may not need to make a dramatic change. But you do need the space to step back, understand what is really happening, and see what deserves your attention next.
That is what this session is designed to help you do.
What is it?
A focused 90-minute coaching session for women who are ready to step back, understand what is really happening in their careers, and move forward with greater clarity and agency
Rather than making a reactive decision from a place of frustration, exhaustion, or fear, you will take a grounded look at your career alignment, what is draining you, what you need in this season of your life, and the options genuinely available to you.
What you walk away with
✨ A deeper understanding of what is not working
Insight into what is driving your frustration—whether it comes from the role itself, the organizational environment, depleted boundaries, changing needs and values, or a combination of these factors.
✨ Your conditions for alignment and sustainability
A clearer picture of what you need to feel aligned, energized, and fully alive in your career during this season of your life.
✨ Clarity on the real decision before you
A clearer understanding of whether your current situation calls for a realignment, a deeper redesign, or the beginning of a thoughtfully paced transition.
✨ A grounded next step
Not an overwhelming 20-step plan, but one or two clear, meaningful actions to help you regain your agency and begin moving forward.
How It Works
This is more than a coaching conversation. It is a structured 90-minute clarity process built around three movements—helping you step back, understand what is really happening, and move forward with grounded direction.
Movement 1 - Before we meet
You'll complete a short guided reflection and two assessments before we sit down together. These are not generic exercises. Together, they help surface what is working, what is no longer working, what gives you energy, and the internal patterns that may be making it harder to move forward.
📝
Your pre-work reflection
What is currently working and what is not.
🌟
Your sparketype assessment
How you do your best work, and what gives you energy.
🤯
Your saboteur profile
The thought patterns that tend to get in the way when it matters most
Movement 2 - The session (90 min)
We move through three steps.
Where you are: we'll explore the friction, not just what's not working, but where it lives, why it's there, and what it's costing you
Where you want to be: We start building a picture of what an aligned career actually looks and feels like for you
The Gap and the bridge: We name the distance between where you are and what you just described, the type of move this requires, and your next steps.
I will…
Listen deeply, ask powerful questions, and create a supportive space where you can see yourself and your possibilities more clearly.
I will help you turn insight into a clear direction and meaningful actions.
You will
Come with openness, reflect honestly, and take ownership of what emerges. You will leave ready to act on your insights and take your next step with greater clarity and confidence.
Together…
We will create a partnership grounded in trust, courage, and action—one that helps you strengthen your self-leadership and design a career that is truly yours.
Movement 3 - After the session
The session does not end when we hang up.

Do you need a new role, or a deeper career redesign?
Not every career crossroads means you need to leave your job.
Sometimes the role is no longer right. Sometimes the environment is the problem. Sometimes your priorities, needs, or ambitions have evolved. And sometimes it is the way you are working—not the work itself—that needs to change.
Before choosing your next move, you need to understand what is creating the friction.
Otherwise, you risk making a change that looks different on the outside but recreates the same experience.
The Career Crossroads Session helps you identify the kind of change your career may be calling for—so you can move forward more intentionally.
Meet Your Coach, Dolores
A thoughtful space to see what you cannot always see alone
I’m Dolores Rio, a career redesign and leadership coach supporting women in social impact to redesign and lead their careers with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.
Before becoming a coach, I spent more than 20 years working across humanitarian aid and international development.
I understand the complexity of building a meaningful career while navigating demanding environments, evolving ambitions, personal responsibilities, and the desire to continue making a difference.
For a long time, I felt a quiet whisper that something else was possible for me. I kept moving forward anyway. It took becoming a mother to finally listen.
I tested, I failed a few times, I second-guessed myself more than once. Then I built the framework I wish someone had handed me at my own crossroads.
Today, I work with women in humanitarian, development, and social impact who are navigating their own bumps, turns, and crossroads — capable and experienced, yet wondering how to move forward.
